Just keep giving everything you were born to be.
Play your music and sing your song.
You know the refrain so sing along.

A long talk with wooden box makes you sing and dance a lot. (Repeat)
La, la, la, la, la.
‘The Bender’
-I just had a long talk with a wooden box.
-A telepathic heart to heart ’bout life’s hard knocks.
-All mediated by Johnny Walker swimmin’ ’round on the rocks.
-It’s therapy, so we all win in the end.
-A tap on the top, rhythm’s conversation keeps the time.
-I shoulder that body close, like a lost friend of mine.
-It’s all coming back. Memory’s melody never blind.
-Eyes closed and here we go jump in.
-Rehearsed ’til precision, I pick out my deepest thoughts.
-Improvised it talks back, claiming pain’s born, not bought.
-We fret for hours with CHORDIAL breaks, but I won’t drop.
-Just callused ’cause the notes I send it, all bent.
-All ’round this joint hear what we’re sayin’.
-If they understand that blue, they tap a foot and keep ‘a stayin’.
-It’s deep Mississippi and at the crossroads they’re ‘a prayin’.
-Here comes the Devil as the liquor’s sinkin’ in.
-When they lay that man low, pine’s the choice for their loss.
-Spruce and rosewood well worn, steel strung get my point across.
-Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, and BB covered all the cost.
-We’ll have to GUIT this conversation goin’ sometime again.
-To most it’s instrumental, but only a wooden box.
-To me, it’s the key that opens a soul’s heavy locks.
-Like talkin’ with a friend who knows ya from the block.
Strummin’ on heart strings ’til they’re all thin.
I just had a long talk
With a wooden box
I just took the wrong walk
In my woolen socks
I just heard a song rock
All the Nashville jocks.
It was her
And the last time
She kissed me.
I just had a long talk
With a wooden box
She just took the wrong walk
In her woolen soxs. (Socks)
Hide me where the lambs flock
Cuz she’s still a fox.
You can hear her song rock
All the Coolsville jocks.
Oh..that was her
The last woman
To kiss you
