Welcome to Wordplay Thursday!

Here’s a fill-in-the-blank to get you started. Feel free to use it to start off YOUR song.  It could be the first line of your song, or not.  Feel free to change the line up some.  It can be serious or silly.  Whatever gets you going!

“There’s things I’ve been missing, like _______________.”

I’d love to hear what you come up with, so please share in the comments. Oh, and please keep your posts below an R-rating. It’s a family show, after all!

  1. … like the things that can’t be found
I go looking for them when there’s nothing else around …. sometimes I get to thinking that I don’t even listen .. to the words that I’ve been saying, now there’s something really missing ….

  2. There’s things that I’ve been missing,like seeing bright stars,in a sky of blue…Long walks and talks into Midnight,with friends carefree,and true.Making homemade bread,drinking lemon tea,singing till we can’t sing no more..With all that’s lost and found in this life…Love’s an open door….. .

  3. There’s things I’ve been missing like, mirrors with images of familiar faces that I’ve visited once or twice
And visuals of memories of people that resemble me And I can’t help but wonder.. who the heck am I.

  4. There’s things I’ve been missing like
Our walks on the beach at sunset
Our little talks I’ll never forget
I’ve been missing dinners at our favorite diner
I miss takin’ you to places finer
But more than anything I miss holding you close in my arms

Holding you close in my arms
I feel the warm touch of your skin
    Close in my arms
I hear your whispers in my ear
I feel my heartbeat tell me you want me
In my mind I’m holding you close in my arms
