Wordplay Thursday #258

Welcome to Wordplay Thursday!

Here’s a fill-in-the-blank to get you started. Feel free to use it to start off YOUR song.  It could be the first line of your song, or not.  Feel free to change the line up some.  It can be serious or silly.  Whatever gets you going!

“Yesterday was ________ and tomorrow is  _________.”

I’d love to hear what you come up with, so please share in the comments. Oh, and please keep your posts below an R-rating. It’s a family show, after all!

Wordplay Thursday is a fun way to generate new song ideas- and who doesn’t need more song ideas?  If you’d like MORE “creative kickstarters,” join the Frettie.com community today!  In our private Facebook group, I share a creative kickstarter EVERY SINGLE DAY.  Plus, there’s plenty more cool stuff for Frettie members!

  1. Yesterday’s a memory, tomorrow is unknown
The highs and lows are part of me
    They’re now mine alone
The sun still rises in the east, settles down in the west
I’m OK, head held high, ready for my next test

  2. Yesterday a rear-view, slow motion kick in the bucket.
Tomorrow’s gettin’ rolled, my hammer down already runnin’.
I’m leaping’ hurdles in a single bound double cab.
No waitin’ ’round for clowns, bring me down or mucked-up mud flaps.
Up early, ‘cross those fields of bottom feeders.
Top end runnin’, makin’ dust fun ‘n, praying’ not to be a dust eater.
In country’s new age of coward slackers, liars and cheaters
If we could just have a little drive and be God-fearing natural leaders.
