This was not helpful. All you did was state the obvious. You didn’t add any furniture to this subject. I know there’s a difference in the way one writes a country song and a pop song. I thought you’d share some insights with regards to the differences. Matter of fact you talked more about gospel than anything else. What a waste of my time listening to you guys giggling.
Well, Joe, first of all… thanks for listening. Sorry it wasn’t exactly what you were hoping for. The angle I took on this episode wasn’t to point out “THIS is how you write a country song, and THIS is how you write a pop song.” That target is always moving, plus it’s WAY more than can be fit into a podcast episode. The big goal of this episode is to make people aware that there are subtle differences between genres, not just the not-so-subtle differences. I’m glad you already apparently know that. A lot of people don’t, and we wanted to introduce some humility and a bigger view into the subject.
But I don’t apologize for giggling. This show is fun, and Johnny and I like it that way. So hopefully future episodes will be a better fit for you… but the giggling stays. God bless, and keep on C.L.I.M.B.ing!
