  1. ‘Glide’

    O six-hundred and feeling alive.
Aviators on so I’m cool and not blind.
It’s an all clear-to-go look out,
here comes the day smooth takeoff
    I’m hoping we find.

Sonni days I love, but she’s dark inside.
Clouds in her coffee and we’re ‘bout to fly.
She sighs a smirk out and that’s all,
like a flare she’d soon break off
and kiss bye in high skies.

Coming down’s a rough ride on this guy
    Coming down’s a mayday goodbye
Coming down to an empty runway, runaway bride
with one hell of a stride.
Coming down’s no chute free fall.
Coming down’s a last curtain crash call.
Coming down to Austin to just hang this time wasn’t my plan at all.

Maybe an autopilot fling of this ring is just right.
Here’s where I turn it all off and let my God just glide.

  2. So you think you know what love is
I can tell you some thing
Its how you make me feel
    Your fingertips on my strings.

Its the time we spend together
When its only you and me
As you hold my body close
When I sit on your knee.

Oh oh you sing the melody
    Oh ill do the harmony
That’s the magic of love between
    A girl and her guitar.

  3. I’ve gone over it my mind,
My head spinning for the very first time,
Trying to make sense of anything,
    Pretending that I’m doing fine.

I ripped up the letters I never sent,
Kicked up my heels, didn’t pay my rent,
Saw stars fall from the heavens, and
Played my guitar until my fingers bled.
