  1. That drink hit him hard, but not as hard as the pain.
a tough pill to swallow are the words she told him that day.
the whiskeys a chaser, helps erase her, from his heart, from yesterday..

  2. That drink hit her hard but not as hard as the kiss from my lips.
I must be some Prince Charming ’cause she fainted feeling my lovey dovey bliss.
She might of had a few shots before, but I’m sure she really knew it was more, it was that kiss that made her swoon…
Either way it’s clear she’s sleeping through ’til noon.
    V1
She’d been makin’ it clear she wanted more than mere friendship.
Talking relationship more than half the year.
Figured I’d buy her another drink and surprise her with kiss but didn’t think…
    V2
Our friends are looking at me like what did I do?
Didn’t they see that kiss was so strong it made her swoon?
I helped her back on her feet, she gave me a wink and a smile so sweet.
Then she said goodnight and closed her eyes, oh what to do.
    B
Her girlfriends helped her home, but as she left the bar she called out to me…”Call me tomorrow and we’ll do this all over again.”

  3. The drink hit him hard, but not as hard as
He really needed ‘cuz he’s a hard ass
So buck-up buddy and buy him a tall glass
    Send that ole’ boy down

    Chorus:
    Hit him hard
    Hit him fast
Drag him out back and kick his sorry ass
    Hit him hard
    Hit him low
He’s sleeping in his truck tonight cuz he’s got nowhere else to go.
